GT AFRIK SARL is a GPS tracking company founded in 2019 in Lubumbashi. It has a local team in Lubumbashi that also covers Kolwezi and Likasi, and its headquarters are in Kinshasa. GT AFRIK provides GPS fleet tracking, fuel monitoring, generator monitoring, remote engine cut-off and dashcams, installed by its own technicians. Alerts arrive on WhatsApp and tracking subscriptions start from US$25 per month. Phone and WhatsApp: +243 808 040 347.
GPS tracking is also called vehicle tracking or GPS fleet tracking: a tracker hidden in the vehicle sends its position to the platform every 30 seconds. See how a GPS tracker works.
Why fleets in Lubumbashi and Kolwezi use GPS tracking
The Copperbelt puts heavy loads on long roads, far from the office. Each of these conditions maps to something the platform records.
- Long trips between cities and to the border. Trucks run between Lubumbashi, Likasi and Kolwezi and to the Kasumbalesa border post, often for days. Geofences at depots, mine gates, border yards and client sites record each arrival and departure, and route playback shows the trip and every stop.
- Mines and heavy equipment. Haul trucks, plant and light vehicles share sites with long working hours. Geofences around pits, workshops and fuel bays, engine hours and driver scoring show where each machine worked and how it was driven.
- Diesel theft. Large tanks on trucks, plant and generators are a target. A capacitive fuel-level sensor measures the tank, the reading is cross-checked against GPS position and engine state, and a suspicious drop sends a WhatsApp alert in about 60 seconds.
- Generators on camps and sites. Where the generator is the only power source, monitoring the controller shows runtime hours, fuel level, battery voltage and alarms.
- Roads with no network. When there is no network, a Teltonika tracker keeps saving records in its internal memory and sends them once the connection returns, so the route arrives late instead of being lost.
- Vehicle theft. A remote engine cut-off lets an authorised manager block the engine of a stolen vehicle from the platform while its position keeps updating on the map.

How installation works
- Contact GT AFRIK. Tell us how many vehicles, machines, tanks and generators you run and where they are based: request a demo, write to sales@gtafrik.com or message +243 808 040 347 on WhatsApp.
- Choose the hardware and options. Tracker model, fuel sensor, engine cut-off, dashcam or generator monitoring. The supported devices page lists every option and the buyer’s checklist covers the questions to ask any provider.
- Installation by GT AFRIK technicians in Lubumbashi, Kolwezi or Likasi.
- Live, typically within 48 hours, with dashboards, reports and support in French and English.
Kinshasa and Brazzaville too
A company that runs vehicles or sites in several cities uses one platform. GT AFRIK also has teams in Kinshasa, where its headquarters are, and in Brazzaville, in the Republic of the Congo. For mining fleets, the fleet tracking operations guide and the diesel theft guide go further.
